It's only been a few weeks since the football ended, but I for one can't wait to see it back on!

At least we have nice weather to enjoy today I spose. But this won't be every weekend. What else can a man do at weekends with no football? Saturdays were invented for football scratchchin

Yeah now the FA cup is over what am I going to do, theres not even a Euro or World cup this year. frown

Pre-season friendlies start in mid July, until then I guess its just keeping your eyes open for transfer gossip!

Looks like I might have to go outside and play it myself, it only seems to happen in summer these days!

Bored, still it'll give me time to recover financially before embarking on another season of travels.

And the Ashes. It's nice to have a break from the wall-to-wall soccer coverage for a while.

I passed a full medical today with flying colours, might have solved my hay fever as well, so I'll be stepping up the jogging now and use the close season to up my fitness.

The doctor prescribed me some nasacort nasal spray, just going to try it and see if it does the trick.

Ah. I was hoping mine would have gone away after I had a horrible day of wanting to gouge my eyes out last year, then it suddenly stopped for the rest of the year but annoyingly it's restarted in the last few days.

Good luck.

My sporting summer has come to an early hiatus.

Ruined my ankle ligaments last wednesday. 4th time in 4 yrs, both ankles been done twice. Taking wifey's advice and treatment seriously now, looking like Im in danger of not actually having any worthwhile ankles left in a few years if I dont frown In some bloody expensive bondage like plastic ice clamp cum cast at the moment, does the compression and cold in one go. Im ooot for 4-6 weeks frown When I do come back to play not just football, but also my cricket every sat and the 2 evenings of badminton a week, it will be dbl ankle supports on both ankles frown

Getting old is a bugger frown
