Maybe it was just me who watched Mr Bolts race on BBC2, an amazing athlete, how can you be that much better than everyone else?

I watched it too, amazingly fast. I doubt anyone will beat him in a big final for a few years TBH.

Don't know about those other things, but is Avavar a personal trainer now?

I just presented you with a steroids cycle.. Although I wouldn't recommend its the best cycle for Mr Bolt it's just what I would take.. boxedin

You see the British passport clipped to the finishing line? paperbag

Actually no, you don't need to do anything to get one of those, just turn up. But then it's not even a proper British passport any more, just a purple Euro-crap thing. Ho hum.

very impressive performance. Compared to his competitors, he looked like he was just sauntering along.

Well Dbol is very good at improving strength and mass, but it aromatises strongly so it causes massive water bloat, no good for sprinters tongue out

Not to mention it's liver toxic frown

Where'd you go to school?

You can find it on Youtbue, not sure how long for though. He looks huge compared to the other runners, maybe thats just because he was so much closer to the camera hehe

Pretty incredible seen as he messed up his foot last month... I think it will be a while before anyone can hang on to the back of him.

Fairly good chance he's got better drugs than the rest.

For the past 20 years, there have been 12 men who have won the Olympic, World, Commonwealth championships or have held the world record. Of these 12, seven have failed a drugs test at some point in their career.

Cheats
  • Ben Johnson (Canada)
  • Carl Lewis (USA)
  • Linford Christie (Great Britain)
  • Ato Boldon (Trinidad & Tobago)
  • Kim Collins (St Kitts & Nevis)
  • Tim Montgomery (USA)
This American sprinter is a rare breed. He never tested positive to drugs but he is currently serving a two-year drug ban. Montgomery is the highest profile athlete to be suspended from the BALCO case after he testified to a grand jury that he had been taking a synthetic steroid. He was stripped of the world record he set in 2002. So if he didn't get caught at the time who else slipped through the net?
  • Justin Gatlin (USA)
  • Maurice Greene (USA)
In April 2008, the New York Times reported that Greene had paid Mexican discus thrower Angel Guillermo Heredia $10,000, which Heredia claimed was in payment for performance enhancing drugs. Greene admitted meeting Heredia and making the payment, but claimed it was common for him to pay for "stuff" for other members of his training group, and reiterated that he had never used banned drugs

Those who either didn't cheat or weren't caught.

  • Calvin Smith (USA)
  • Leroy Burrell (USA)
  • Donovan Bailey (Canada)
  • Asafa Powell (Jamaica)

I think that's rather negative, I'd rather presume someone is clean, not tainting all the work they have put in.

He is very tall for a sprinter, he 6ft5inches.

From a biomechanical point of view the thing that Bolt has managed that other taller sprinters haven't is the start. Most tall sprinters can run very quickly but struggle to get out of the blocks quickly. Bolt (and his coaches) have worked out a way for him to manage this and efficiently get to a situation where he can use his long legs and stride to best effect.

Obviously with the recent history of sprinting there will always be doubts over any top athlete's performances. I think we can take encouragement from the fact that Bolt doesn't look like he's on steriods - he's not some hyper-muscled over-aggressive sprinter. Additionally, at Beijing and since then he's (and the other Jamaican sprinters) one of the most tested athletes and there haven't even been rumours of a positive result.

I believe he's clean, but then I want to believe that it is still possible to be the best without doping, as this is the sport I'm passionate about and hate the fact that the cheats have tarnished all athletes.

I'm sorry but I think negative comments like that just destroy all the good he has done for athletics at the moment.

There has been so much negative press over the last few years that athletics really needs a proper superstar which I think Usain is.

If you actually watch him run it is all about his stride and the rate he can turn his legs over, he is very very good technically and it is rare that someone of his height has such good leg speed. He also runs very very high on his toes, he isn't a power sprinter as such but one that floats over the ground - like Michael Johnson in a way.

If you look at him phsyique wise he isn't even that bulky in comparison to other sprinters, it is just natural inate ability that he has. I find it so annoying that automtically someone has to suggest he is on drugs just because he is that much better than everyone else.

I am a sprinter by the way so feel pretty strongly about this.

Exactly how I feel.

Incidentally did you run the 10K there, I know we chatted a little last year as you used to run for Lancaster and MorecambeI think.

Our top 10k runner (Blackpool) Anthony Ford came 25th but only ran 30 something and was pretty dissapointed as he has run in the 28's but I heard it was very windy on the 2nd half of the course.
