Anyone off to Lords tomorrow?

Hoping for a good day out and some excellent cricket.

Checks bag,

thermal underwear, ski jacket all packed, thermos flask ready to be filled, should be ok.

well after a complete failure to get out of bed this morning, I've now decided I'll go on Friday.

Is it not sold out? Are you just rocking up and getting tickets?

There's only been 12,000 sold for today, so ground about half full. It's far too early in the season to stage a test match.

I've never had a problem picking up a ticket from a tout at a reasonable price even on days that are sold out.

Not an ideal start to the afternoon session. 90-1 becomes 93-3 with a couple of very good deliveries.

Still, Bopara looking relatively good.

Well settled down England.

171-4.

Bopara answering a few questions about whether he could play the anchoring no3 innings. Just dont throw your wicket away in the over before tea!

193-5

Prior gone for 42. Bopara on 83.

A question now of whether Ravi can eke England out to 300 with the tail Bresnan, Broad, Swann and Anderson can all bat a bit.

Finished on 289 / 7.

I'm looking forwards to seeing us polish off the WIndies tail on Friday morning and then putting on a better show in our second innings.

I wonder how much catching practice the WIndies are going to put in over the next few days and weeks.

I can still remember Sir Viv and his rants about Windies fielding the last time they were over here.

Good knock by Bopara. He has just about the right level of natural arrogance IMO. Shah looked far too nervous and Bell flattered to deceive, although I still think he has the ability to make it, maybe at No 5. But Bopara may be the real deal at No 3. Prior and Broad both looked to be 1 place too high in the order. Felt sorry for Edwards who bowled very well and was let down by his team mates. I'm sure he will claim the 5 for in the morning though. Looks like we will make 320-350 which should set it up nicely for a result. Looking forward to seeing Onions and Bresnan bowl tomorrow.

Well, what absolute s. Taking the light at half eleven in the morning, they're going along at 5 an over today.

Absolutely terrible decision.

Being an Essex support I'm really pleased to see Bopara doing well, obviously it's early days but I've thought for a while he deserved more of a chance.

I've also got high hopes for Broad, I think he has the makings of being a tidy all rounder in a couple of years. He's already averaging just 2 runs less than Flintoff in tests and he's only 8 runs behind on the bowling averages. Not bad for a youngster, I just hope he can stay fit.

Enjoy the moment kiddies.

Oz will neither field or bowl as badly as WI have so far in this match.

Good bowling to bring them back to 99 for 4 down at tea...Sarawn and Shiv both back in the Pavillion aswell smile Swann batted well this morning and it looks like he is bowling well this afternoon.
