After wearing various pairs of Adidas Predators for the last twelve or so years, I'm thinking it's time for a change.

Any recommendations or boots to avoid?

Was thinking Copa Mundials, with a pair of World Cups for soft ground?

I was going to recommend the Copas and World Cups before I even opened the thread. Great boots and not stupidly expensive.

I can highly recommend these I have a pair for hard and a pair for soft ground. They are fairly light but offer lots of support and protection.

I have Copa's and World Cups, best boots in my opinion, no stupid plastic bits, i bought them from pro direct, they do a deal, 130 quid for both, they come up small so had to go a size bigger.

Super boots, one of the only boots not to rub, instant comfort from the day i put them on.

I find the classic leather boots to be best.

I have just bought a pair of copa mundials and world cups from prodirectsoccer for £130.

I currently have the latest pair of F50s but they are the most uncomfortable boots i've ever owned. Too much plastic

Will be luxury to slip in to a pair of mundials/world cups after wearing those F50s

Cheers for the replies.

How do I go about getting both pairs for £130 from prodirect soccer? I tried adding a pair of each to "my basket", but the total price was closer to £160.

Thanks in advance

From the homepage, click on boot room at the very top, then adidas boot room, then heritage boot room and on that page 6 rows down and two in from the right there are a pair of adidas copa mundial-world cup pro pack and it has a label of 2 for, the price is £130. Just go on there and select your size and they send you a pair of firm ground mundials and soft ground world cups

Copa Mundials and a pair of World Cups here too.

I love them, had that combo for years and years, although the world cups caused me to snap my cruciates last year frown (yes cruciates... not the normal one... both!) frown

Just started playing again, and they were sparkling for my 1st game back smile

Beautiful!

Both cruciate ligaments??! eek So far I've snapped one ACL, and had a partial tear in my other.
The joys of playing football(!)

How were the boots to blame?

I don't play anymore, but when I did (about 10 years back) I use to wear Adidas Copa Mondial for hard ground and Puma Kings or Lotto Futuro for soft ground. I still have the Copas for when ny lad is old enough for a kick around.

Playing in the Sevenoaks and district benevolent league (which was anything but). Gentlemen (especially forwards) who turned up wearing the latest new fangled, coloured Predator or Nike shiny boot were generally breakfast for the hairy-arsed centre halves of Northern Kent.... wink

It would appear that even the defenders(wearing Copas/World Cups) from the mighty Real Madrid, are not adverse to whacking some fancy Dan, lardy-da, white boot wearing forward.

I love these for old skool boots.

My mate had a pair and I was jealous. At the time I had a pair of Reebok tornados (I think) because Ryan giggs had a pair... How sad! Were talking when I was 13/14 years old

Well it couldnt have been me not being fit etc wink , I decided against blaming the pitch (everyone does that), so went with the boots.

Makes sense really biggrin
