Can anyone identify this footballer?

A pal has this programme, its from a QPR V Liverpool game from 1977.

The tall guy on the cover is obviously not a QPR or Liverpool player. But can anyone from the collective name the tall player, and the side he played for?

That could be a dodgey Man Utd away kit of that time ? If so it would be QPR's last home game before that programme which ended 2-2. Could it be (wild Guess) Martin Buchan ?

Thats not the right kit of Man Utd at the time, their away kit then was all white with small black stripes down the left side. My first thought was Crystal Palace as they certainly played a kit a bit like that, or it could even be Man City as they had an away kit like that. No idea on the player...

OK... I'm pretty sure the kit is the away kit of Man City from 1976, that game took place at Loftus Rd in March 76 so weather would be OK, hence short sleeves etc...
