IPL in South Africa

The IPL kicks off with a double header in Cape Town tomorrow. What the IPL and Cricket SA have pulled off over the last 3 weeks to organise a major sports event in next to no time is absolutly stunning. The economic impact of the unexpected event at this critical time is really going to help. Already 40000 hotel bed nights have been booked and all the tickets for the opening double header sold out in 2 hours.

The hype is building daily with the marketing team doing a good job as well. All bodes well for the successful hosting of the World Cup next year.

I am not sure which team I am going to support yet, but might as well pick one soon and enjoy the show.
