B'ham v Wolves ..horror tackle by Brum Captain Lee Carsley on Andy Keogh. A proper Eduardo job, looked like he almost snapped the guys leg off. On about 40mins, Brum to 10 men.

Shocking game for Wolves.

It's going to be very nervous now until the end.

Bully Bully wasn't happy afterwards was he?

Didn't see this. I will say that Lee Carsley was a vastly under-rated player when he was playing for Everton. When he left you could see how much we missed his ability to break up attacks.

Shocking challenge but a shocking game all round for wolves. We got exactly what we deserved, absolutely typical of us not to take an opportunity to enjoy a relaxing run in, instead the stress will last all the way to the end.

Apparently Carsley has apologised to Iwelumo (it wasn't Keogh who was fouled), who has come out in defence of him and says it was a genuine error and not an intentional hatchet job. I have to say it doesn't look like that from the replays, but you have to take the word of the guy who was nearly cut in half.

I thought we weren't any worse or better than Brum, we were certainly weakend by the almost complete loss of our favourite front 4: Kightly (metatarsal), Ebanks-Blake (hamstring), Jarvis (just back from injury, appeared in the second half), and Iwelumo (run over early on in the game). Looking at our final 5 games, I am still feeling confident we can drag ourselves over the line.

A) It was Iwelumo not Keogh
B) He went for the ball - no intent.
C) Even though he went for the ball it was still a straight red, but definitely no intent, commentators agree.
D) Now Wolves have NO goal scorers atall I can not see them winning the championship
E) I feel sorry for Iwelumo and hope he makes a full recovery (before next season starts but once this season has ended)

No way Carsley is dirty. It was a bad tackle, and he deserved to go, but he is a class professional. Excellent player in my opinion.

Yes, yes Keogh came on for him, I was only half paying attention to the match until then. I have no affiliation to wolves or Brum, I was only watching it for betting purposes.

But there is no way anyone can defend that tackle. It was a leg breaker.

Ok let me guess you bet on Wolves to win? laugh

Carsley is just a passionate player, he showed concern according to AM and MM, both of whom also agreed the tackle was NOT malicious.

Why would I bet on Wolves when they were 2nd best throughout the game and losing?

Who are AM and MM? Everybody on the box at the time said the tackle was nasty and my eyeballs tell me the tackle was nasty.

Leaves us very short for tomorrows game. Time for Vokes, Keogh and Harewood to stand up and be counted! Must win, and Reading v Sheff U for a draw! Please!
