So...anybody putting any bets on for tomorrows race? If so who are you betting on? I have parted with far too much moneyeek but hey it's only once a year. My top 2 are Rambling Minster and Parsons Legacy but as i managed to get 1st last year i doubt my luck will hold for this year

Just drawn Hear the Echo in the office sweep.

Probably put a tenner on that at the bookies.

Does anyone who actually knows horse racing still bet on the grand national? They certainly didn't when I worked at the bookmakers. biggrin

You just pick a colour/name you like mate. Or listen to someone who has apparently picked the winner for the last 20 years but can't remember any of the races and for some reason has no money despite his supernatural talent.

Edit: That sounded more cynical than I intended. It's still good fun!

So true.

I'm going to have a small bet on 'soon to be UHU' just for the name.

£1 on each, then the 7/1 comes in, you get £7 back from a total of £30 spend... Yes, why not.

Are you the same type of person who bets on black and red at the casino and thinks it's hilarious? Until the green comes in of course.

OK. So what are the odds you back one that comes in with a greater 'win' by betting on all than if you picked one or two out of the 30?

No. Since you're interested, I don't bet at all.
