Should games be allowed to be played in La Paz ? I have been there and when your not used to the altitude it can take a only a few steps to be totally out of breath and feeling dizzy. I'm not so sure that gives a level playing field in games hosted there. 3600 m above sea level on a pitch purposefully made to be of a poor standard so better teams find it hard to play - surely this is not right ?

It was a banned picth till 2007 when FIFA said it could be used again for matches. There is a blog on the beeb at present and he looks at the problems regarding travel etc in South America. Brazil only just got a 1-1 against Ecuador
