OK....I'm confused and need a little help here.....

I'm not a tennis person at all and my fiancée has longed to get back into tennis so along with membership at the local club, I've decided to buy her a new racket as she's mentioned she'd like a new one.

The thing is, I've no idea where to start apart from the fact that she currently has a Fischer Air Carbon Ti racket and she played competitively until she was 19.

So....how do I go about choosing a racket?

I know her grip size...(I've got that from her current racket of course but what else do I need to know???)

I'm beginning to think perhaps this is too complicated to buy as a surprise but on the off-chance it's possible I'd like to see if I can get her something really good.

Ideas?

I used to have a wife who did that...

She was grooming her young coach, poor lad...

Be alert...smile

PS...it's a BAT, let's forget this daft fecking about with the English language, shall we?

If she is serious about her tennis then it is too much of a personal choice IMO.

I've been doing quite a bit of reading and I'm beginning to think the same. I just enjoy giving surprise gifts.

She's not really been in the game now for the past 5 years but I'm trying to get her to find some sort of "hobby" that she will enjoy as she winges when I'm away mountain biking on Sundays during Spring and Summer.

She's also an embarrassingly good skier too but doesn't come so often with me and lads as she's the only one without her own equipment and renting each weekend can become quite pricey.

It's tough with the girls!

Bum her at 12AM then buy her a bat when the shops open.
