I think this arrangement is a joke but the understand the FA need to pay for the stadium.

But there is a great deal of frustration in the North West that the Everton v Utd game is on the Sunday and the meeting of the two London teams is on the Saturday, therefore resulting in a lengthy journey back on the Sunday night.

Surely the two fixtures can be switched???

I went to the carling cup final a few weeks ago, parked a 45 min walk from Wembley (for a tenner) and left before the celebrations had concluded and even driving like a bat out of hell didn't get home to Manchester till well after 10 and the match started an hour earlier than is planned this time.

With the exception of the toilet facilities going tits up late on, I thought Wembley made for a special day out, in my mind it should be kept for finals only.

Part of me wants to say fk you then, I'll watch it on the telly, but despite being a season ticket holder for years and travelled to Moscow last year if I don't get a ticket to the semi, due to the limited availabiity of tickets for clubs in the FA cup final I am unlikely to get one. (Largely due to all the "Club Wembley" seats and tickets given to corporate sponsors)

Uefa have just agreed to rearrange Liverpools' next champs league tie if it clashes with the Hillsborugh aniversary. Why not a similar intelligent response from our FA

The people in charge of our National game need stringing up

Thanks for reading, I feel better now.

Cheers, Glad I am not alone, we have nine seasons tickets in the family, so its a two car trip at least, plus beers burgers, programmes etc etc.....

It cost me £1200 to get to Moscow for what was basically a day trip.

Its just to much, whats wrong with Villa Park?

Villa park doesn't give as many supporters the opportunity to see the game. I think for this reason alone the semi's are right to be at Wembley. The Everton vs Man utd game should be on the sat and the other on Sunday. It's a stupid stupid decision by some very stupid people.

Tickets go on sale tmrw. C'mon Everton

Personally I think the semis should be at Cardiff and only the final at Wembley.
That would be a much better solution.

Cardiff is no easier to get to than London for North West based fans, but the tickets arrived Monday so its another trip to wembley now anyway.

Anyone else going?

Sorry, i didn't mean ease of travel. When i said Cardiff would be a great place to host the semi finals, i was talking about keeping Wembley as the venue for the final only, but finding a neutral ground with a large enough capacity to get a serious number of clubs fans through the door.

Cardiff would be the only option and IMO a very good one.

My tickets arrived yesterday for Everton vs Man Utd

Been to a few games both Rugby and Football and it's another great venue, perhaps I am just getting old but I prefered a neutral local league venue although the number of seats at wembley/cardiff gives more fans a chance to go as you quite rightly point out

I agree that Wembley should be kept for finals, I missed the Chelsea ManU final in 2007 so the Carling Cup was my first trip there, and lack of toilets aside it's a great, if expensive venue.
