Odd thread I know but WTF ?

I've got a soft spot for Spurs for some really weird reason. From a lifelong Manc, that's really fking weird. Even I can see that.

I think it started when we gave Lineker a standing ovation on his last English game.

I also don't mind Villa due to the fact that my Grandad was a lifelong fan and I rememeber his Dr. Who length Villa scarf on his bannister.

Odd thread, I know. But I'm influenced by the alc and there's no better time.

Results I look out for: Gillingham, Southampton, Brighton.

I know not why - I have no connection with any of them and apart from going to The Dell when I was about eight (once) I've never seen any of them play live.

Arsenal, and I'm a Liverpool fan. I just like the way they play and I like a lot of their players, but not Gallas or Adebayor.

Chelsea and Wolves. Chelsea because I have a lot of old player connections with them and Wolves because it was one of my first games I went to - I was also the last away fan ever to stand at the old Wolves ground. Plus both play the old Liquidator tune before games, it sort of takes me back to the 70's.

The police won't allow us to play the Liquidator at Molineux any more apparently. frown

I have a soft spot for Sheffield Wednesday. As well as several former Wolves players now plying their trade there, I have never felt as welcome as an away fan as I did at Hillsborough. Plenty of help getting to the ground, we beat them 3-1 and all I heard afterwards from them was "good game, well deserved" etc. And when I got lost on my way back to the station a Wednesday fan walked me all the way there, took him about an hour. This was in sharp contrast to Sheffield United when some fecker tried to reverse over me with his Volvo. furious

I also keep an eye out for Hereford United's results, as Graham Turner (bow) took the Wolves manager's job when you couldn't have given it away, signed Steve Bull for beer money and basically saved the club. I think he has done a great job with Hereford.

Sad if that's the case, it used to get the atmosphere going.

I support Watford, however for no reason what so ever I've always had a soft spot for Millwall.
