I see that an Arsenal minibus was attacked, one lad stabbed and a flare chucked onto the bus, and two chelsea fans stabbed in Turin, this follows the disgraceful italian police in Rome 2007 for United and the numerous stabbings outside.

When will UEFA stand up to these st houses and chuck them out of Europe?

My thoughts exactly. To be fair, UEFA have taken some action... awarded the final to Rome!! (more incompetence - why award it to a venue where there is potential for a team to have home advantage?)

Um, ponder that thought for a second, then tell us why its rather silly.

I assume you mean a lack of suitable venues. Two options - if there are suitable neutral venues once the competitors are known then choose from those, if not, postpone the arrangements until the later stages when the likely finalists are known.

Last year Bayern Munich didn't qualify at all, Wembley is always neutral, Stade de France is neutral, the Bernebau is neutral at this stage of the competition this year.

Aside from all of that, my main point was instead of sanctioning Roma for their recent track record of violent supporters UEFA awarded them the final and potentially home advantage!?

Mate they allocate the finals years in advance. Hotels need to be booked, flights, hospitality, security, policing, the list goes on.

You can't announce the venue 2 weeks in advance!

I totally agree. Answer : UEFA will do nothing because only the English ever get punished.

The Turks are just as bad, they murdered two Leeds fans and have caused trouble every time they play in Europe but no action is ever taken.

Not suggesting 2 weeks, but waiting for the end of the group stage or even the round of 16 would still leave months not weeks.

The fans seem to get there each year without two years notice?

The point still remains, why Rome!?

I'll give you that. Viscious bds. God knows why UEFA hasn't come down harder than they have in the past.

In the event of an all English final I think the firms of both sides should sort themselves out and give the Italians(the ones that want to know) a hammering. Allegedly.

We did this to them twice on their own bridge, the second time with only 80 of us, the problem you then have is once they have run off their snidey police tear gassing you and smacking you with batons.

There are too many different groups of lads that get involved to generalise like that. If you've had a bad experience with some under 5s trying to make a name for themselves I can see why you'd think that, but I know a lot of lads who were active in the 80s and 90s, and I wouldn't call them scum. They wanted to know with other groups of lads who wanted to know.

Not me you understand!

there is a large difference between being a hooligan and being a normal supporter who wont take any liberties from opposing team supporters who try to cause trouble with you.

Just the one season ticket, I am a healthy size 34" waist, I done need the two.

The bridge links the ground from the main road, its quite big and is over a river. They dont take kindly to non-locals being in the vicinity and get their knives out!
