What's the matter with you lot.

There's two threads about a couple of test series running and the moment both of the assumed main protagonists in the respective series return to their previous form the soap dodgers go strangely silent.

Not a word of well played or we could have or should have done better, just bitter stone cold silence.

Please forgive us mere unwashed less than human inhabitants of the colonies if we are less than sporting when the soap dodgers get the st kicked out of them when the ashes contest progresses in the expected direction in a couple of months time.

There's even half a chance that that the clog wearing or sheep shagging colonials won't give a rats arse for the vanquished when the inevitable occurs and the inexperienced team of amateurs from the great southern land gives the hardened and seasoned professionals a lesson in the greatest game of all.

Please bookmark this thread so that you may heap scorn upon this uneducated moron from the southern hemisphere if the unbelievable happens and all breathing humans in Australia below the age of seventy are reduced to mere husks of their former selves and as a country we can't provide a suitable contest to the superior professionals of the mother land.

ps. the beer and red have unleashed the truth ( 4 weeks leave starts tomorrow )

hehe

It's not that we go quiet ... it's just we're doing other things like working away etc.

Australia's performances in the Tests I have seen - and I have seen most days play has been a marked improvement on their performances at home against the Saffas ...

You've got to admit SA haven't had the rub of the green in recent Tests but that evens itself out - I think Hughes looks to be a hell of a player and when you see the list of missing Aussies - Clarke, Lee, Tate etc you relaise what a really good effort it was to get themselves results in these tests.

SA have been on the whole poor though which mirrirs how good they were in Aus a month or so previously.

Yes, roll on the summer - looking forward to it. You won't get us off here then you know crowing over victory and the Ashes returning to their reightful place - oh hang on, they never leave Lords anyway ... hehe
