Calling all football fans
Discussion
Hey guys, I am currently writing a dissertation on the sporting exception with the current legal system. One thing i have chosen to do is question some fans
like yourselves about aspects of this.
The main question i would like to ask is: Given the current fifa regulations where a player can unilaterally terminate his contract with a club without just cause.
What do you think the implications of bringing football in line with current employment law by letting players terminate their contracts during the season or
whenever as long as they give sufficient notice to the club and given they pay adequate compensation?
The main areas im interested in are...Club Loyalty, Economic issues ( Strips etc.), Competitive balance.
All answers are welcome. no matter how stupid or insignificant you fee your answer may be it could be just what i need for my research.
P.S.....Mods feel free to move to the appropriate forum if necessary.
