For me anyway, and I should imagine plenty of others soon. They have lost the prem footy for next season barring 23 games and those will be second choice ones involving minnows like Bolton v Spurs, West Brom v Hull etc. No way is it worth £9.99 a month.

Ok, their boxing coverage is free but I cant see any reason to keep them?

How long will they survive now?

Sky.

They have basically nicked one of the packages back. Sky are not allowed to have all of them so can't bid for the final 23 game package, which Setanta are keeping. This season Setanta had two 23 game packages (hence the current 46 games on Setanta)

So, with effectively one game every other saturday night, and not a premium game, they effectivley have one fourth choice fixture every other week. Not worth £9.99! They will still have Scottish Premier games but barring the old firm games they are like watching non-league football!

Great news. I came close to subscribing this season but as I have Sky Sports I didn't want to pay any additional. At least the temptation has now been removed for next season.

It's worth it for the boxing alone. They're going to air all the big fight of 2009.

Yeah, on Setanta Ireland, although sometimes they scramble Setanta Ireland.

You also get Arsenal TV and Liverpool TV, but the content is pretty poor on both barring the match repeats....

To be fair, if all 15 clubs above them go into administration, Spurs will qualify...... wink

If either of these happen then Marlon Harewood will win the Golden Boot

Back O/T, I wonder whether Setanta will be offering deals to go back next season? It was costing me almost £18 in total, £12.99 for main sky box and £4.99 for the multi-room. Thats hardly value IMO.

Yes, the boxing was free but sitting up til 4am to watch it never appealed to me anyway.

It's a bloody long walk from Cockfosters to The Plough Flasher. And any more comments like that will guarantee that you will be making it matey!

hehe

I'm keeping Setanta as NASN (now ESPN America), comes in the package. I'm an avid Baseball fan (Mets & Giants as you ask) and ESPN has comprehensive coverage of the season.
