List any hobby, sport or past time and some one will say "I don't get it".
Unless you are trolling it's best to leave other people's pleasure you don't share alone.
No I'm not trolling, it seems most people at work like football and most the people I know do including my kids, what is the fascination with watching some blokes kicking a ball about, and in todays case very badly.Unless you are trolling it's best to leave other people's pleasure you don't share alone.

Then next question has to be regarding the quality of moderating now, what's the point of putting this in here?
I mentioned same with this http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...I enjoy football for it being like a big chess game. I'm a bit perverse in that, unlike most, I'm actually quite fond of the defensive side of the game, and I like to see how the teams adjust to one another throughout the match.
If you find it boring then you're simply not 'seeing' the game, rather just watching it. If you have chance to watch another game try to lookout for weaknesses in each side (eg, is the opposing team continually breaking down the right wing etc) and watch to see how it's countered - usually after the manager has had chance to talk to the players, or make a substitution.
It's like F1: if you simply watched the cars going round and round then you'll get bored. If you look into the tactics then it can be quite interesting.

It's all in a persons own taste. I don't get excited over Bowls but I can relate someones passion of bowls to mine of football. To me Football in itself can be a fast moving attacking game using great skill and fitness, although I will concede some bore draws can have an adverse affect on the fans and atmosphere. Then there's the freindships you build with other fans who you meet at most games, add into that the the expectancy to do well when traveling to games, a beer or two, some grub, and the dream of seeing your side reach a goal wether it's promotion, a cup or avoiding relegation and its a fantastic day out for some. Surely you have something you feel passionate about and can understand others might not share your interests ?
