What are you using to measure these figures?

So it was done electronically, sorta?

I think I read somewhere that the electronic hand held ones aren't very accurate, and the best way to do it is by using calipers.

sounds like you've reached a plateau. your personal trainer should be able to specify what to start doing next.

Maybe by starting to lift heavier weights?

I am pretty sure that 55g is to much for the body to absorb in one sitting making them pointless anyway.

I would use a decent whey mix, from reflex or myprotein.

I am not an expert, but all the evidence I've read over the years suggests that 55g of protein is far foo much for one sitting, 30-35g would be nearer the optimum.

More likely is one of two other factors (assuming you are getting enough rest):

1) Carb intake - are you getting enough? Remember that carbs are fuel. Maybe you need to up your carbs for a couple of weeks?
2) Training. How long have you been training on your current routine? If you've been on it for a while and you've been making good but diminishing gains then maybe you're plateauing? Time for a change?

If this is the case then how about giving your body a break and having a period (4-8) weeks on a short, truncated programme, maybe with a different rep range (maybe completely different exercises?)

If you're feeling wound down then maybe the time to go onto a maintenance cycle?

Cheers,

I think the problems might be a) that you're not eating enough carbs and b) that you're doing too much cardio.

If you were to ask most professional bodybuilders for their advice to you they'd firstly prob. tell you to buy a load of gear! After that though, they'd tell you to up your carbs to give your body more fuel for recovery and also to stop doing anything that isn't directly related to building muscle, i.e. give up your cardio activities.

Whilst I don't think it would be a good idea for you to stop doing cardio completely, why not drastically reduce it to say 3 20-30 minute workouts a week? If that doesn't work, drop it some more.

It sounds as though you are at a stage where you're going to have to concentrate very hard on just ekeing (sp?) out your gains for a little while longer before switching focus.

Cheers,
