I thought they were only looking for unemployed managers for the rest of the season?

Whoever they get will only be there for the money, impossible job with a team of mercenaries(apart from JT).

It gets worse:

"He has said that he will not leave the Russian job and will be able to combine the two".

However

"On that basis he must be a good man to steady the ship and hopefully provide some sensible counsel to our inept board in the summer as to who they should appoint".

Yeah, managing a Premier League football club is a bit of a part-time position, can see a problem with managing Russia through a World Cup qualification campaign at the same time.

While he's at it could he fix the global economy please?

No it couldn't. It couldn't possibly get any worse, and we're in the position we're in in spite of it! I'm sure whoever the owners are we'll attract a decent manager because we're Liverpool FC. New stadium, oh woe is me, we'll have to make do with ANFIELD!!!!!!!!

Tits up is bottom half of the top league, and the lowest I can remember in the last thirty years is 8th(I'm sure some statto will correct me). Even under the duo of Houllier and Evans, with Phil Thommo in the background on banjo, it still didn't go "tits up". We're Liverpool!

Maybe Hiddink should manage Liverpool too.
