After all the speculation about Man City and KaKa, breaking news from Eastlands.

Man City have been succesful in signing a major household name. After all the speculation over previous transfers, this one was kept quiet until after the window had closed and the correct paperwork had been submitted to the Premier League and FA.

The price is rumoured to be in the same region as the Kaka deal. Mark Hughes denied that Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan had personally taken responsibility for the transfer, instead claiming he was delighted to be working with his new signing. Hughes said "He's a big strong lad who is excellent at covering the ground, he'll be a great addition to the midfield". Hughes went on to add "He's the closest we could get to Kaka, in the current transfer window".

Neither LaLa, nor any of the other Tellytubbies was available for comment.
