What a suprise that FIGJAM gets a ton on the first tour match now he doesn't have to care about the captaincy

FIGJAM? I presume this is an clever acronym you down-under chappies have for "the Ego", what? Care to elaborate old bean?
How are you chaps getting on against the Boers by the way? Your captain should be able to concentrate on batting now the "Dubya" impersonator market is drying up!

Nice one. I get it now!
How about "just ask Graeme Smith" instead?

hehe

I'd rather ten G. Smiths in my team than 10 FIGJAMS! Geezuz.. could you imagine the size of the dressing room doorway!

If I had my way, we'd turn up for the Ashes with 11 Yorkshiremen and show you some real "crickit".
Now imagine the size of that dressing room door!
hehehehehehe

Could be wrong and often am, but from memory it was your soapdodging lot that gave him the name FIGJAM a few years ago.

Currently he is the only one looking like taking on the bowlers.... but probably won't last long as usual - like Strauss and Cook.

And then chucks it away trying to look like a hero by getting his ton by putting it over the fence.

Tosser and always will be ( could have been a bloody good captain though )

It's a bit gash eh.

What the fk is with this referral system as well - when did they introduce that? I don't like it at all.

The referral system is good and would work well if the 3rd umpire wasn't a plank.

Bob Willis got it right when he said "Daryl Harper shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a test match". I can't understand how he keeps his spot on the elite panel when he's patently useless.

I don't like it either we are human beings play a game of feet and inches not thousandths of an inch, give it back to completely to the men in the middle.

Having said that, Hayden might still be playing but for some absolute howlers he suffered at the hands of the men in the middle.

Edited to add, your boys seem to have returned to form much as we have.

Yes, it's bad isn't.

But look on the bright side we've only got to get to 46 to beat our lowest ever score biggrin

I want to come up with some decent excuses - kowing that HSV'll be one later crowing in his convict way, but I can't find any for this performance - it was 21-3 when I nipped out just before 6pm - I get back and I'm greeted with that score - ...
