RBS has increased it's sponsorship of the 6 nations tournament until 2013 for 20 million.

Its ok - it's not their money.

They can spend it on what they want now.

In effect it's a government subsidy for sport.

They do that sort of thing.

Agreed! I always look forward to February & March knowing that one of the great sporting competitions will be on. This money at least means something good will come out of the billions Brown and Darling are throwing at our bankers.

Now, if they could only add a stipulation that Brian Moore be gagged for the entire competion ... scratchchin

I quite like Brian Moore's comments - I don't remeber watching a match with him commentating, where he hasn't raised a chuckle from me after a random rant/remark. Each to his own though

I quite like Brian Moore's comments - I don't remeber watching a match with him commentating, where he hasn't raised a chuckle from me after a random rant/remark. Each to his own though

Brian Moore always manages to make me laugh too. Plus he seems to have a better grasp of the rules than anyone else commentating, and knows the realities of the game from the heart of the scrum. BBC coverage would be weaker without him in my opinion
