I shouldn't think Defoe will go back to Spurs, the reason he left was that he was third or fourth choice striker. I'd say move on and look elsewhere.

But IF he does go back, he will be No1 striker

You need to worry about your manager, once again his linked with Real and Cesc may go with him, suppose it depends on how well Ramos does...

Mickk, chill man. Wenger is staying put. Fabregas is still a Gooner...

and you're still (joint) third from bottom.

No, not this year. Probably not the next either.

Have to be realistic and accept that he will go.

Roque Santa Cruz? Craig Bellamy? Jermaine Defoe? Wayne Bridge?

Have Citeh calmed down with their 'buy anyone' attitude, Kaka, Fabregas, Ronaldo et al?

Not expecting a lot of activity in the Liverpool camp!

The only money Benitez will be getting is the money he makes from selling players.

And seeing as all the players we can sell are all crap, we won't be getting a lot of money for them.

The fact that Heskey is being linked to the club says it all frown

More of a realization that you will struggle to attract the top players in Jan when they are involved in Champions league etc. Wait till season ends & manager changes.

Portsmouth executive chairman Peter Storrie has admitted Jermain Defoe has expressed an interest in leaving Fratton Park with a return to Tottenham a likely destination.

"It looks like Jermain wants to go," he told the Portsmouth News. "That is something we will be speaking to him about."

However, Storrie insists that the England international will not leave in a cut-price deal.

"If Jermain goes it will be at our price and if there is an offer which appeals," added Storrie.

"We have always said we will not keep people who do not want to play for Portsmouth Football Club."
