... As a Spurs fan I just dont get it, the man didn't have a clue. I give it 10 months max.

At least we know he wont be poaching any of the players (before fans from that other North London club start chipping in I'll clarify thats because they think hes a C**k, not becuase Real wouldn't need them)

But 10 months is a good run for a Real Madrid manager, I mean they got rid of Capello when all he did for them was win a league title.

He's moving to a big club, a completely different prospect. At Spurs he helped clean out the bogs, he have an impressive infrastructure to assist his efforts at Madrid.

So what you're effectively saying is that because it’s a bigger club, he can make less of an impact and as such wont royally screw up like he did at Spurs?

The man claimed that Commoli's messing as director of football didn't help as he wasn't in charge of transfers. I'm sure that 'el presidente' of Real Madrid is really going to let him choose his own players to sign, even if it was no doubt his election manifesto to bring in Mr X or Mr Y.

I just think he'll be in a different frame of mind at a big club.

As a Barcelona fan, I'm slightly bemused by this. Real Madrid have had their fair share of bad luck this season, I'm not entirely sure why Ramos was picked given the other options available. I'm just hoping he doesn't have the Harry Redknapp effect on his squad.

Still predict a 3-0 victory for Barca in el gran clasico this weekend.

Apparently he's only got a 6 month contract at present to take him to the end of the season.

I can't see Real beating Barca this weekend. Too many "great" players and big ego's for Ramos to have the instant Redknapp effect.

The loss of Nistelrooy as well is a massive blow for them.
