As i was working at the stadium on sat, we stayed on to watch the game, what many of you wouldn't have seen is an empty stadium, its a very odd experience!

Taken from one of the corp boxes on the 5th floor.

I took a good load of pics, sadly all on my phone as the one above was.

Shame Wales where beaten, they looked pretty strong from the start then just lost it!

I watched it. The stare down of the NZ's haka was impressive. Gives me goosebumps and I'm not Welsh.

I've got that on my mobile, was pretty intense, the look on some of the Welsh lads faces was priceless. I'd be slightly worried as well hehe

I was there and had cracking seats on the front row of the middle tier:

The haka stand off was fantastic and the atmosphere in the stadium electric, which I don't think really came across on TV. Twas just a shame we couldn't maintain our first half performance for the second half...

Fantastic Haka and an even better response. Most of the Blacks were looking in disbelief and clearly looked uneasy. Probably saved us ten points in the first half clap

Would love to see the Scots paint their arses blue and moony them Highlander style next time hehe

Looks like Nonu is throwing his toys out of the pram

"What the Welsh did wound us up. They were probably told by (Wales coach) Warren Gatland to stand there and wait until we leave," he said.

"But it was really hard. The haka is a war dance. If you're going to stand there like that then in the past people would have charged, but it's a rugby match and you can't do that.

"People back home will have been hurt by what they decided to do. Standing in the way like they did is asking for a fight.

"My blood pressure was pretty high but then I regained my composure. I was a bit upset about it.

"If England want to do that they can - but they'll probably get the same response."
I particular object to this part of the article:

BBC said:
Wales were soon made to pay the price for their behaviour as they were crushed 29-9
Just which game were they watching? We were up at half time ffs. Poor journalism.

The format of the Haka seems to change every season it's performed e.g they all used to jump up in the air at the end. I think because of this, it's being used to gain an advantage, just as Wales were trying to do by standing their ground. It's not done out of tradition any more, so why would opposing teams show it the respect that Nanu wants?

I was going to say that. The first half was even and Wales did well, in the second half there was only one side in it and the win was pretty emphatic.

England won't do any better on Saturday mind you!

Why should one 'respect' a dance?
Respect your opponent of course, as a man and as a player but because he is pulling funny faces ?
I think laughter would be the best response.

If the All Blacks start thinking that opposition teams don't have the right to respond to the haka, they may as well stop doing it.

I thought the response of the Wales team before last Saturday's Test in Cardiff was great. I don't think they did anything wrong.

It was their silent way of doing the haka back to us, one way to stand up to it.

If Ma'a Nonu says he was upset by it, he needs to pull his head in.

If that is what he thinks he is weak, he has exposed himself as fragile. By saying it upset him he has told everyone else that he is affected by it when someone responds to the haka.
