Not wanting to start a civil war, but i do not get these... I am not even a football fan really (overpaid girls who fall over and cry too easily, holding their shins like someone has put an axe through them before scoring a blinding penalty 60 seconds later) . Driving home tonight i had the misfortune to be listening to some Scottish football "fans". Rather thsan be happy the great (footballing) nation of Argentina and Maradonna (for all his antics) were in town to test their National team out, all they seemed to be doing was digging England for something that happened years ago and giving out "hand of God" gloves! I am all for a bit of banter and National pride but that this lot crack me up, while making me feel a bit sad at the same time. Is it an inferiorority complex? I would personally NEVER wish Argentina or Germany beat Scotland, when you think of Wars ect. of the past where the British fought side by side, but it seems to be compulsory for the Scots to do it? Is life that bad for them up there? Should we give them free Methadone at Hampden Park?

I work across the street from Hampden park and it pisses me off when the football is on... just a load of pissed up tts in kilts shouting a load of crap.

Dont get me wrong, I'm scottish and proud; but seeing a load of drunk aholes in kilts always annoys me.

Especially when I'm trying to get home from work.

Bah Humbug.

Lets be honest football fans are not a good way to judge a country

if we did then england would be a country full of moronic alcoholic simpletons who are constantly looking for a fight

Oh dear, here we go again. The Percy's and Trevors of this world moan about the Scottish chip when in the last 6 months I've read (and kept out of) countless numbers of threads that pertain to the scottish character and traits thereof, where the real irony is that every negative point made about the Scottish character and their traits conclusively showed themselves in a rather bad light. Keep it coming lads. Dig your own holes biglaugh

When was the last time the Scottish team made the World Cup semi finals?
When was the last time an English team made the final apart from having home advantage AND playing all their games at Wembley?

To be honest its becoming a bit of a bore , the wearing Argentina shirts thing if were playing the Argies...I suppose they all forgot the Argies were shooting them up as well as our boys in the Falklands , and hang on they have their own parliament and most of them want total independence , time to rebuild that wall I think.

Well, I'd expect Scotland to win in 2094 at Hamden Park then....
