Slightly better than Robinson, which makes him st. His decision making is appalling, and he doesn't know what he's doing for crosses and corners. Makes a good youtube video.

He is ste at the moment, but that was a fantastic save to tip the ball onto the post, he's much more athletic than Robinson, who's never recovered IMO from the croatia match, All gomes needs is a bit of confidence in himself and his defense, I think the King situation needs sorting sooner rather than later as the chopping and changing isn't allowing us to have a settled back-line...

Must say I thought Gomes was Spurs' best player by far when they played us (stoke)

He clearly had a gameplan to deal with out corners / throws into the box - he, like most other keepers can't catch everything so Gomes has decided to punch / parry everything away - and I reckon he got virtually every single one.

He fully commits coming out for the ball which I think every keeper should do - granted he nearly killed his own defender but he could easily hav hit one of our attackers - st for us but with the way refs protect keepers its exactly what he should do.

And to be honest I think he did the best job of any keeper we've seen this season (barring cech although he only had 1 throw in to deal with).
