I was considering it but after splitting up with the OMM-obsessed girlfriend I've thought better of it. Doing a 15km trail race in Coniston on Saturday though.

Good luck, do you know that area of the Lakes well for the OMM this year?

I used to know it reasonably well about 20 years ago, but have been re-aquainting myself with it through Google Earth. Did it three years ago starting at Pooley Bridge - weather was atrocious, and boy what a challenge, but managed to finish the B in a year when only 120 teams from 300 starters managed to finish, so was dead chuffed.

Good luck in Saturday's race!

Hope you get better weather for it this year.

Saturday is just an excuse for a weekend in the Lakes with my mates really. If I hadn't been ill all summer (and then caught a cold last week!) I might have been racing it properly, but not now frown

It was great fun - all totally overhyped by the media.

See video I took. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSUu-vG1rlQ

Good reports on Sleepmonsters too. Hope the toe is alright - at least it saved your team a wet night on the fells.

Probably - many of them were competing.
