OK, so some sour grapes here, a bit.

But COME ON. The Americans need to learn some MANNERS.

Faldo needs to sort his life out, did you see him when we lost? He was hugging all their players, he even went up to an NBC commentaror and hugged him. The guy is a tw*t.

Faldo has always been an arse. He was unsuitable to be captain IMO. I don't understand why players automatically gets the job just because they have been good players. It's no qualification on its own. Bobby Charlton and Bobby Moore were great footballers but rubbish managers. Why did they think an insular and selfish man like Faldo, almost universally loathed by all players of his own generation, would be a good captain?.

The American players were exuberant but why not? They gelled very well as a team and it showed in their play.

Azinger was a very good captain and he was also very clever and very lucky. He was clever in getting the USPGA to give him 4 picks, allowing him to really have a major say on selection and he was lucky that Tiger Woods got injured. The team dynamic was so much better without Woods being the focus of all and it was obvious that the atmosphere was great from the first morning. Not always the situation at recent Ryder Cups.

That's the least of it. Listening to Westwood today shows that the fans were appallingly behaved, and that was instigated by Azinger. Also the Europeans were called in the middle of the night to disrupt their sleep, apparently. None of this is surprising, given the American attitude of winning at any cost. You only have to see how many of their professional athletes are taking steroids or other performance enhancing drugs, to realize that they don't care how they win.
