Untenable situation. Lucas Neill abused him in front of the whole team, no way back.

Feel sorry for him actually, a down to earth, successful, realistic manager. I sat in the Main Stand at Anfield against West Ham last season, right next to the away supporters. I've never seen fans give their own manager so much abuse, well other than Newcaslte obviously. Hang on.......

Ridiculous.

West Ham have had their best start in years, I blame the players and the fans. There are parallels (sp) with Newcastle, both clubs think they are bigger than they are in reality and both have ridiculous expectations. However, West Hams aren't as thick as the Newcastle fans.

Care to enlighten us with some facts to back this up?

I doubt the truth will make it into the public domain, perhaps he chose to leave or maybe he was pushed. On the face of it the board made his position untenable over transfer dealings e.g. over-ruling him by selling Ferdinand & McCartney

The current owner did not choose Curbs it was Egg Head the former chairman. Perhaps BG he wants his own man?

I wish Curbs well, appeared to be a decent guy who I believe had the clubs best interests at heart

seems like he's not got control of the squad - why sell 2 players and not replace them?

they've no recognised left back?

they're skint

Very worried about the club now. I never had a problem with Curbs, certain fans despised him but they're the ones that will never be pleased. I'd love to see Bilic as manager, thought he was great as a player for the club (Di Canio would be my first choice though! wink ).
BUT, there appears to be no money! Ferdinand was a good solid defender and we shouldn't have got rid of him. Where's that money gone? This is not a good situation.

Into the pockets of Ljundberg & that nice Lucas Neill bloke scratchchin

I would imagine the Hammers fans who used to ring up the phone-ins wanting Pardew's head after a couple of defeats are going t have to take a reality check now.
Things are changing that fast (rightly or wrongly) that it looks like 7th is the new 5th and even the big boys will start taking the Carling Cup seriously.

Frankly I'm ashamed to be a West Ham fan at the moment.Curbs won 7 out of 10 games to keep us up,gave us a top half place last season and 2(albeit fortunate)wins out of 3 this season. And for that he gets gob loads of ste from some of our so called supporters, probably the same ones who spat at Frank Lampard when he used to warm up on the touch line as an 18 year old.Not once was he able to put out his own first choice team (ok couple of signings were a bit injury prone,(Dyer,Bellamy, Parker) but you can't account for Ashton breaking a leg with England,Upson,Faurbert etc.In reality he'd been better off if he hadn't kept us up, as he wasn't expected to, probably would have brought us up last season and would still be riding the crest of a wave with the board and the fans on the back of it.
Couple that with a board that are in dire financial straights and started taking every opportunity to undermine him .I was "advised"not to get Ashton and Green on the back of my kids new shirts until after the deadline so how close were we to losing them? (and today Mccartney backed Curbishleys version of events)and its not going to Happy Hammers for the forseeable future.
Good luck Curbs, you've been well and truly censored on.
