Nope! the entire support of Man Utd is happy that the wage thief has gone. Though the deal is subject to a medical and he has already failed one of them at sunderland

As an Everton fan I'm not sure what to make of signing him - I suppose it depends on what the cost is and hopefully we got him cheap, we definitely need some more experience but I'm not sure he's the right guy.

I always thought he was a class player/finisher. Blighted by injury, he struggled to realise the full potential. A shame.

Not bothered that he's moving on to be fair due to the injury side of him.

If he can stay fit, he'll be good, if he is constantly in the physio's office, then not so good. I'm sure we got him pretty cheap... I'm not sure he'll get in ahead of Vaughn either.

I really want to see Vaughan and Anichebe push on this season but with the money being spent on Saha I can't see him being a benc warmer (other than when he's blooming injured), definitely a good/natural goalscorer though.

Another 'undisclosed' fee as well - for some reason they really piss me off!

Its often done in our case to hide the fact that since the Glazers took over we have received more in for players than we have spent.

I would guess the fee was well under a million

not directly no, I can tell you factually that since the Glazers took over they have received more for incoming transfers than we have spent on outgoing transfers, which makes our double last year all the more impressive.

Yup, I really don't think Moyes would have spent much on Saha... he is more of a "we'll see if he comes good" type of buy... There won't be much in the way of risk involved.

They publish their accounts yearly, normally hidden between good news such as us beating Barca last year, and show that we are in a very bad way financially and that despite our most profitable ever year we cant afford a striker.

If he scores a couple against Standard Liege at Goodison then we will warm to him.

Eh? How much did you pay for Saha, Carrick, Ferdinand, Vidic, Rooney, Tevez, Hargreaves, Evra?

Now tell me how much you've got for players sold. Sorry, makes no sense to me.

Well, we got him for 'nothing', so presumably there is an appearance clause. So, Saha for free... Not bad at all.

Indeed. He can't respond yet though as he's just jetted down to Monaco for the game.

Not strictly true, i believe he was taken instead of the £1.5m they owed us for the Rooney instalment.
Still 3 more to come in by Monday night.
