Just a quick gloat to congratulate my beloved Pools for stuffing it up the Baggies tonight 3-1.
Just rewards IMHO for a determined effort and payback from a few seasons ago when they cheated us 2-1 in the last few minutes of a game where we had a man sent off for allegedly pulling down Rob 'a la Swan Lake' Hulse just outside the area resulting in f.k. 1-1 and now man down they scored the winner shortly after.

Fingers crossed for a big premiership team in round 3!!

Up the Pools thumbup

Nice one Hartlepool, it's always good to see the smaller clubs do well, i've seen a few shocks in my time on the terraces including.

Chelsea 2 v Millwall 3, League cup. (Speedie missed a last minute pen for Chelsea)
Millwall (3rd div) 2 v Leicester (1st Div) 0. Lineker and Alan Smith played up front for Leicester
Chelsea 0 v Millwall 0 , Millwall won on pens, FA Cup.
Arsenal 0 v Millwall 2, FA Cup.
Bournemouth 2 v Man Utd 0, FA Cup
Chesterfield 0 v Basingstoke Town 1, FA Cup

Didn't go last night, but by all accounts seems like Hartlepool deserved it.
Always been wary of lower league cup opposition following WBA 2 Woking 4 all those years ago..... mad

Glad the pool won. Always had a soft spot for the monkey hangers ever since we robbed you blind in the playoff final a few years back.

Hmm, yes another 'ballerina' moment from a player in the box. That still hurts a little, but then again, it could have broken a club like us going into the C'ship so soon.
Having said that, we got relegated to the basement lge the season after, so it bollocx'd us anyway. frown

You must be due a stint back in lge 1 by now surely!!?

Just kidding!

PS. DO you remember the league cup win we had against you at home in 2003 (I think). Went to pens and we scored all 5 at your place. That was a good night for me. Even when your player left the ball at the corner flag for our lad to collect - had to walk back to the spot and still planted it in the net. Happy days!!

On the day i thought it was a penalty but watching it on tv then no it just wasn't. We REALLY needed to go up that year and yes weve danced with relegation a few times since. I remember that cup match, must have been a good night for you guys. Best of luck for this season

Its nice to see a Wolves fan with something to smile about - you guys don't get a lot of opportunity. I did hear that Stevie Bull's a tatter and wears a tatters hat? Can you shed any light on this?

It was a jokey comment, what's it like going up and then coming down every season?

My claim to fame biggrin last man to stand at Wolves. Made sure I was the last spectator to leave the old South Bank. Wolves 3 v Millwall 1. I think some youngster got a hat-trick, a decent one too.
