Thought I wouldn't be interested, but the Brits on and in the water and on their bikes have got me hooked. Hear pounding finish to the mens coxless 4's and as for Adlington, wow!

How come these folks aren't the ones we hear of in the back pages instead of the prima donnas of footy and the track & field also rans?

Bring on London 2012!

It's a shame isn't it, the runners do seem to steal the limelight.

Strange really, as they are the least likely to bring home any medals.

We're doing pretty well though.

Well done to all the medalists so far!

the running is pointless when you have people usain bolt cruising away like he did in the heats.

im enjoying watching the sprint cycling and seeing history being made with michael phelps as i was an avid swimmer when i was younger

Because when it comes to althletics they concentrate on Paula "If I'm not in a medal position then I'll drop out of the race" Radcliffe.

I can't believe the BBC - we get gold and silver in the cycling and they are showing athletics.
Listen to it on five live, much better coverage.

Do people think that we should focus resources on the events we are obviously good at for 2012? i.e., unless we can see real medal chances now, switch money to cycling, sailing, swimming, complaining about the weather and immigrants and farting?

We already do. If you take a look at the funding figures you'll see that by the sports you've mentioned get a lot of funding, especially if you look at how many are in the squad.
