So far this season.

Man U have reported Real Madrid about Ronaldo

Spurs have reported Man U about about approaches to for Berb

And I think Villa might have Reported Liverpool regarding Barry.

Is there any punishments these clubs might face or is it completely point gesturing?

It is all just point scoring. All clubs 'tap-up' their transfer targets, and most winge when it happens to them.

As mentioned, Man Utd have been involved in reports as both villains and victims already this summer, and The Villans have moaned about Liverpool turning Barry's head but also done the same themselves to Brad Friedel (who has been offered double his wages and an extra year despite no bid being excepted and Villa not having permission to speak to him).

Hypocrites, every one of them. My own club included.
