Former UFC light heavyweight champ Quinton "Rampage" Jackson got busted just minutes ago, and is currently in custody on the way to jail.

Law enforcement sources have stated that Rampage was in a car crash near Newport Beach, California and then fled the scene. Cops had to chase him down and he eventually pulled over. Several police officers had their weapons drawn and ordered Jackson to the ground. He was arrested and charged with felony hit and run and felony evading arrest.

Ironically, Rampage was riding in an SUV that had a picture of himself painted on the side.

TMZ reports that there could be additional charges filed. No word yet on whether he resisted arrest.

Dana white is driving there to post bail for him apparently.

Throws a spanner in the works! If only he'd not tried to run he might have been free to compete again in short order but they tend not to like runners so I suspect they'll throw the book . .

How stupid to try to get away driving that thing though, must have been in a real panic.

It seems hes been having issues of late, its a real shame as he seemed like quite a humble guy and Id wanted him to do well ever since the pride days.
