Well, looks like only one of the relegations slots next season in the Prem is up for Grabs.

One of these two and Stoke better start planning for Championship football for a years time.

Like to see WBA stay up. They seem to be the only club with half a chace of doing it out of the teams coming up.

Certainly. At least the financial windfall and parachute payment will give the clubs the opportunity to get in some decent players to build for the long term, providing they plan right and don't just go for a quick fix along the lines of say, Cardiff.

Given that its Hull City vs. Briston City I'm sure at least one City will make the Premiership! Whoever goes up it just doesn't seem right to have either in the Premiership to me.

As a Watford fan, I'm happy to admit these are the 2 playoff teams that deserve to be in the final confused

Aye they may be, but they just don't seem like the kind of club to be in the top division of English football. All the while Leeds are languishing away in League 1 I'm definitely not dreaming of getting back to the Premiership and playing teams like Bristol and Hull.

Typical Leeds fan! Think they have a god given right to be in the Premiership. Well i'm sorry to tell you pal but Bristol City and Hull City are in the Play Off Final on merit in the same way you're in League 1 on merit (and hopefully staying there)!

Where you watchin it? I cant wait to view the fixture list for when the European champions visit Ashtongate and the double failures leave Bristol 1-0.

2-1 City with a couple of the best goals that have ever been seen in a championship final, what you think?

They were runners up in Division 1 in 1907 and lost to Man Utd in the FA cup final in 1909 so it's not like they are Cleethorpes under 11 second team.

Mind you, when they got promoted to the old 1st division it bankrupted the club. 1977 I think?

As a Bristolian I have mixed views.
I wish them well but I think Bristol area has always been more of a Rugby hotspot and I don't want to see them come straight back down.

clapclap

Great post. I'm sick and tired of their arrogance and "everyone else is beneath us" attitude. Another season in League One might teach them some humility...

I want Bristol City to win today. As a Yeovil fan now living in Bristol, I'd love to see Gary Johnson manage a Premiership team that he's built rather than what seems inevitable if City stay down, he gets parachuted into a struggling Premiership team next season. Add to that McIndoe, Johnson, Weale and Fontaine and there's five good reasons why I want Hull looking miserable later on.

Doncaster to win on Sunday please. Another Yeovil old boy, Adam Lockwood, plays in defence for them so would be nice to see him in the Championship too. Let the Leeds scum rot in L1 for a bit longer...thumbup

Thing is, CP, City didn't have Steve Lansdown then. I know he's canny with his money, he has to be to accumulate so much, but he'll dip in to his pocket to help. If he treats it like a business deal, he'll be fine. £35 million if they go up and much the same amount if they stay up each year. The same initial payment plus £12 millon for the next two years if they're relegated after one season. He'll do the sums and see that he needs to speculate to ensure safety in season one.

Think it's worth more like 60 million including sponsorship and TV. Gary Johnson stated months ago He has 40 million to spend on players.

Bristol has a massive fan base and catchment area for the "bandwagon fans". I see no reason why they can't stay in the Prem (if they win today). Citys problem in the past has been keeping players - Andy Cole, Akinbyi, Goater etc.
