It a bit of a stacked card this weekend
BJ "the prodigy" Penn vs Sean "the muscle shark" Sherk lightweight title bout
BJ is defending his title, Sherk was the previous champ but was stripped of it after testing positive for steroids after his first defence, he maintains his innocence. Personally I hope Sherk gets battered but unless Penn wins early his crappy cardio will let Sherk grind him down and win on points.
My prediction: Sherk on points
Wanderlei "the axe murderer" Silva vs Keith "the dean of mean" Jardine
Silva is coming off the back of a points loss to Chuck Liddell and hasnt looked like his old crazy "Pride" self *cough*no steroid rage now*cough*. He isnt that old but hes been about for ages and maybe its taking its toll, if he loses this bout thats him lost 3 straight and no matter how cult he is, thats crap. Jardine is coming off a huge upset points win against the very same Chuck whome wandy lost to. He would have had a title shot by now if he hadnt been KO'd in under 2 minutes by Houston Alexander previously. This fight should be good, it could end wandys UFC career if the rumours are true and he loses, Jardine would slip down to midcard obscurity or on to a title shot depending on the outcome.
My prediction: Jardine with a KO in the 3rd, although Id love to see the old crazy Wanderlei come out and smash jardine but I think that those days are over. Jardines herky jerky style is boring as hell to watch.
Tito "the huntingdon beach bad boy" Ortiz vs Lyoto "the dragon" Machida
This is the last fight of Titos UFC contract and given that he and Dana white hate each other this will probably be the last we see of old massive head in the octagon. His last fights have been somewhat lack lustre and hes not been anything close to the top of the LHW division since a certain mr Lidell pounded his huge head into the mat twice. Machida is a rising star and has beaten BJ Penn at welterweight and Rich Franklin and middle and last time out he beat Sokoudjou at LHW (soko was the last guy to beat noguiera, now the ufc heavyweight champ). So he really is a huge rising star.
my prediction: Machida KOing Ortiz by strikes in the second round after Ortiz trying to take him down and failing continually. Then Dana white walking over to the bloodied body of Tito and handing him his p45 whilst laughing in his face.
theres a couple of other fights on the tv card but theyre not as interesting as these 3 although Sokoudjou vs Nakamura is on the prelim card which could be a good fight so Ill be looking for that online.

BJ Penn - I think he is the real deal at lightweight
Keith Jardine - He is very difficult to beat and I think Silva has had it
