Exeter City ended their five year absence from the Football League today, beating Cambridge 1-0 with a stooping Rob Edwards header. beer beer

As a Yeovil Town fan with a soft spot for Exeter having watched many of their Divison 4 Championship winning matches, many congrats offered to the City fans who frequent the forum. Mr Tisdale has done a sterling job after several years of complete chaos at times.

Yeovil entered the league at Exeter's expense in 2003/04 so we've never met in a proper match.

Good innit - haven't stopped grinning since. I'll never forget yesterday for as long as I live, and it's why we stand on rainy terraces week in, week out watching our heroes get mashed by some obscure pub cloggers that no-one's ever heard of.

Happy days, it's good to be back.

I concur with everything Mr Moxey has just said.

No more qualifying for the FA Cup

No more playing in the FA Trophy and Setanta Shield.

No more visiting part time teams from the Dog and Duck!

And we get entry into the League Cup for another chance to play the heavy weights smile

woohoobeerwoohoo

I'm a bit delicate this morning thoughwink

For the first time in my living memory (I'm not old enough to really remember our last promotion!)

And we're a league closer to the scum! woohoo

Yes, well done Exeter. Now don't let that happen again!

Two league sides in Devon, let's hope the gulls can make it three.

Yep, well done Exeter. I've enjoyed watching the BSP games on Setanta this season and next year my second team Kettering Town are in it!
