It's a sad loss for his family, the club and Scottish football in general.

He had been fighting cancer on and off for the last couple of years but I guess it got him this time.

Condolences to his family and friends.

A true legend in football, he was excellent both on the pitch and managing.

One of the few in the game not afraid to say what he thought. A rarity these days.

A thoroughly decent man who will be missed by all who knew and knew of him. I'm sure his deep religious faith will have stood him in comfort during recent times.

My sincerest condolences to his family and loved ones.
