Have to say, as a non Chelsea fan, i think the job Avram Grant is doing at Chelsea is disgusting. On the same amount of points as United at the top of the Prem with only one game to go, Carling cup final and still the Champions League Final to come - clearly the man hasn't got a clue what he is doing. Its not as if he took over someone else's team in difficult circumstances, part way through the season.

Honestly, i feel for you Chelsea fans. What an unbearable position you are all in.

Sack Grant straight away and bring in someone who actually looks like he knows what he's doing !

It's a bit early to decide on Grant. He's not really made the team his yet and so far he's not actually won anything.

confused

Of course the team is his. Acquired, maybe but he has them playing in the style he wishes.

As for not having won anything this season - nor has Sir Alex yet.

There are three games to be played which will determine who ends up with what silverware. It's as possible for Man United to lose out as much as Chelsea and shouldn't determine whether a manager should leave or not.

Jose didn't even reach a European Cup Final - did that make him a sheit manager ?

Moyes, O'Neill, Wenger and Fergie should go too - the way they manage their clubs makes me sick. How do these supporters put up with such incompetence

The style of football played by Chelsea hasn't changed, he's carried on with the same tactics as Jose. I'll judge him on what he wins and how he evolves the squad.

Moyes and O'Neill have smaller teams which have less chance of winning anything. They have however changed the teams they have inherited and improved their effectiveness in the league.

Wenger and Fergie have won things.

I'll give Grant more time before I make my mind up.

OK
Why would any sane manager change a style that was winning anyway ?

I'm still not convinced that the fact we're in a good position is solely down to him. I still feel it's more a case of the players being so good they can effectively manage themselves.

So what did Avram Grant have to do better than he's already done so far this season for people to accept him as a viable replacement for the Special Needs One ?

Did anyone see the substitute of Shevchenko, you can see Grant wisper something in his ear and pat him on the shoulders, and I sure Shev calls him a "fker".

Cant blame him really, no more than 5 mins football in many games.

It's what he does next season and in the transfer market that will tell how good he truely is. I wouldn't sack him but I wanted call him great yet, in my eyes he still needs to prove himself.

Agreed, the jury is still out. Some of his tactical decisions have been baffling to say the least, such as playing Anelka on the wing when he'd be better through the middle. We haven't been playing fast flowing attacking football, but on the other hand we sat and steadily built up points whilst everyone concentrated on Man U and Arsenal. However wouldn't anyone be suspicious when a friend of the owner with no managerial experience takes over one of the top clubs in the country?

HAHA this situation with Grant makes me laugh...The tactics come from henk Ten Cate without a doubt who is a very good assistant and manager IMO.

Get Zola in and be done with it...
