So - the fixture is set ! biggrin

Who's gonna win ? scratchchin

Although it's not as 'big' a spectacle as a United / Liverpool final would have been, I still think it will have a fantastic build up and it's set to be a very, very tight encounter.

MASSIVE game. blah

Who's gonna play, who's gonna miss out, who's gonna be injured ?

I can't wait and have already booked the Thursday off smokin in anticipation of either a serious celebration or a massive sorrow drowning episode. wobble

Anybody on here actually going to Moscow ? Believe it or not, I have a ticket available but in with the wrong set of supporters. Call me daft or stupid but I will be in Manchester watching it on TV. With Lemans booked for June and Amsterdam in July, I think the missus would sack me off if I went to Moscow aswell. hehe

Exciting few weeks with the build up now in progress. thumbup

I think United will blow Chelsea away, outplay them for pretty much the whole game and lose due to conceeding an early goal.

I hope the best team wins, though as a neutral, I would expect this to be United, but they were uninteresting against Barcelona, yet tactically very good.

Drogba to dive, Ferdinand to moan, Rooney to eat some bananas and Ronaldo to score... again!
Seriously though as a Liverpool fan I don't really care much for the score, just a good game. Ideally 5-4 after extra time! thumbup

I think the United Hating brigade are voting in large numbers. hehe I was hoping for a more thoughtful approach to a likely outcome, not a 'what people want to happen' vote. rolleyes

Well the mighty Chelsea have proved twice in the past few days who the best team in England are, so I'm fairly confident we'll do the other scum from the north in normal time.

Man UTD to win after extra time, but there's no bloody option for that!

By normal time, I did mean including extra time. Should have put another option I suppose but I'm classing normal time as anything other than penalties.

nono I think you'll find that Chel$ki are every bit as hated as United nowadays...especially down south.

On balance then, with both teams being about as popular as Michael Jackson in a creche, I think the poll is accurately reflecting how the man on the street thinks this will pan out...

After all, Chel$ki have just shown they have the beating of United.

We beat them at home, they beat us away.

Neutral ground this one - United owe them for the FA Cup ! wink

Reds to win.

I watched the game in a pub 30 miles from London, 230 miles from Liverpool. When Chelsea scored, there was a few cheers, Liverpool goals there loads.... not sure what this says about Liverpool fans rolleyes

Cant wait for the game though, no way I'm working the next day

I guess it says that most people hate Chelsea.......

Where is the option for "I really don't care who wins as I hate both teams"?

I like the option of 'Game Abandoned Due To Rioting' rofl

People voting for that scenario have clearly never been to Moscow or seen how they deal with aggresive mobs...especially afterwards...in the Police Station...

Even though this isn't specifically Moscow it'll give you a flavour...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/6169242.st...

Hopefully, a few do try to get 'naughty' whilst out there...should be fun seeing their broken bodies being carried to the BA check-in desk in Moscow...biggrin...complaining about their human rights...hehe

That's because there are probably more Liverpool fans in London than Chelsea fans

I think the game could get quite scrappy at times, but I'm going for a United win in normal time.

Ah yes, because they way they have played in a previous match (a game they held an advantage in having scored an away goal) will always determine the way they play in a one of European Cup Final !!!! rolleyes

You obviousy think both teams in the final will go out to attack, than keep things tight and not give anything away.

We share a very different opinion if thats the case. I see both teams trying to use the counter attack as the main attacking options and think it will be a midfield battle.

A lot will depend on how the Premiership is settled, if ManU blow it then Chelsea will be clear favourites. If ManU win then they will go into this game as slight favourites, so in a strange way West Ham could decide the destination of the European Cup. hehe

I am a bit concerned that this is in Moscow, fully expecting Abramovich's contacts to attempt a bit of food poisoning on ManU players. If I was fergie place players outside of Moscow in a secure site, and bring your own SAS security guards.
