Got to admit, i'm not normally a fan of football, but i did enjoy this game.

Maybe it was something to do with the 10ish beers i've consumed laugh

Gutted.

We've got some serious catching up to do in terms of players and finances.

Anyhow hope Chelsea beat the dirty mancs in the league and champions league.

Good game. Felt we were robbed though, clear foul in the box. How the ref missed it I don't know.

Still no use in dwelling on it, can be proud that we tried till the end.

How do you know that for sure though? Did you try it on with him & fail? wink

Absolutely gutted, but Torres' goal at least offered a brief period of hope, something missing from the whole game until that point. Not going to moan on about Benitez' strategy, other than to say again that I just don't understand the man, and neither do any of the fans I've spoken to today.

Fat Frank was dignity personified. Respect.

Congratulations to the Chelsea fans on here, hope you stuff the Mancs in Moscow.

Good luck Chel$ki, and I hope you now put some faith in Grant who seems a decent bloke.

I don't like Lampard, but good on him. IMO his performance was exceptional given his circumstances. Against any other team, I would have been cheering his penalty. Gutted it was against us... wink

I have to say, all due respect to Chelsea.
Despite the penalty claim, I think we lost the semi due to poor defending.
Riise is not a top class full back, nor is Arbeloa.

Appreciate it was 100 mins into a game and tiredness sets in but Anelka got in too easily to get the cross in.
How often did they get in behind Arbeloa ? It doesn't happen with Finnan.
Should Pepe have been beaten on his near post ?

Going back to the first leg and the OG - where was the full back stopping their cross coming in.

Chelsea have looked very powerful in the last 2 games - Ballack is superb imo. would love to have him at Anfield.
I'll certainly be cheering them on against the Mancs.

Errrrh you sure mate - it was alright but not great.

Just proves how far Liverpool are still behind the top 3. rafa needs to be able to complete for all major honors and not just this cup every year.
Some great individuals, torres and gerrard but the rest is lacking quality.

I can picture MaxandRuby with their tails bewteen their legs on this one, enjoy being outside the top 3 againsmile

Not the greatest game on the whole, but thoroughly entertaining, especially when you consider how dour the first leg was. Liverpool looked dangerous at times, plenty of decisions, ref did well on the whole. On balance Chelski probably deserved it, but was very close IMO.

I hope the best team wins in Moscow.

Ironically there's only one of us, but your imagination is painting a fairly accurate picture.
