Astroturf

Hi there,

I'm due to play five-a-side football tomorrow morning on an Astroturf pitch. I haven't got any specific Astroturf boots, would it be better to wear normal football boots or trainers?

Better to wear trainers than football boots, but i'd advise wearing some ankle supports if wearing normal trainers. I play at Goals off the A3 near Raynes Park and the Astro's are quite slippy and i've had a couple of really nasty ankle injuries playing in trainers.

I now have astro boots which make a big difference

Hi there,

Thanks for the advice. I'm aching like a good 'un today though; jumped out of bed this morning and promptly fell in a crumpled heap on the floor. Oh well, should get easier next week!
