"Hicks is understood to be unhappy at the commercial performance of the club under Parry's stewardship."

No doubt supporters will be up in arms about this, but let's face it, commercially we have got to be one of the worst clubs in the world.

Have you ever tried to use the phone system to get tickets? Ever tried to buy goods from their online shop? I tried to get a replica shirt for my little girl from the Anfield shop the other week "We've only got girls shirts in one size at the moment."

The website featured a fancard wallet as a main attraction recently, I sent a cheque off for one for my son, got a letter back with the cheque saying they were out of stock, and were unlikely to get any more in the near future (the deal still featured on their website).

Still, if you're mad keen for a st meat pie and a warm bottle of Carlsberg, Anfield's the place to come.

I won't even start on Parry not taking a mobile phone with him on his summer holiday and the signings we've missed because of it.

The handling of Steve McMannaman.
The handling of Michael Owen.
The handling of Steven Gerrard.
The hiring of Gerard Houllier.

The list goes on, get that tool out of our beloved club and DON'T blame the americans.

You only have to look down the road to Old Trafford to see how poorly Liverpool have been at selling themselves and their brand, which at one stage, not so long ago, was worth a hell of a lot more than any other club's brand in Eng.

Liverpool's mis-management in terms of branding and selling have allowed other clubs to dominate foreign markets, brining in massive revenue that Liverpool simply cannot match. Man Utd are a club that survive at the top using their business model, because they have been so good at promoting brand Manchester United. Arsenal to a certain extent are not able to sustain themselves finacially thanks to a very good deal they did on their new stadium, and also thanks to the fact that they do not spend the money other top clubs do in the transfer market.

Liverpool and Chelsea can only survive at the top because of a cash rich owner. Not so suprising for Chelsea as their history of being a big club in Eng and Europe is pretty much non exsitant. RA put them on the map and is paying for it, big time. Liverpool, with everything that they could have sold about the club, being in a similar position is down right scandalous. John Moores put his heart and soul into Liverpool, as well as his cash but he obviously wasn't a clever guy when it come to running a football club.

The fact that Everton and Liverpool are so close in them prem league is ridiculous if you think about it. The money that has been spent at Anfield is amazing and we all know Livepool SHOULD be able to generate vast amount of revenue over what that Blues could.

Amazing stuff

Parry has been poor for us, he was afterall one of the main people to sanction the Hicks/Gillett deal and it clearly hasn't worked out for us.

In addition to this, I remember going to the Club shop in Liverpool City Center last year around February, looking to get a home shirt for my gf. The girl in the shops said they were out of stock and not getting any in till around May/June time. Wtf is going on? Went next door into JJB and there were tonnes of shirts in men, womens and kids sizes. So ended up buying from there which means they get their cut rather then it all going to the club.

However I think it is important to develop the commercial side carefully by going into new markets etc. I wouldn't want things like ticket price rises and just a general increase in matchday costs. At the moment LFC is affordable enough for people to go to a couple of games a season etc. eg. A ticket for a Premier League game will cost around £35 for the Centenary or main stand, and a tenner will get you a programme and bite to eat and drink. My gf's brother spent £70 on the ticket alone to see Manu play Boro at OT.
