Who will win the champions league
Discussion
I'm more confident of getting past Chelsea than I was Arsenal, Arsenal run us ragged at times, whereas Chelsea haven't got that pace. They have however got class in abundance, as always it'll be very close.
If we get to the final and it's us against the scum I'll be nervous to say the least. I hate to admit it, but as much as my heart is fantasising about beating them, my head just cannot see us being strong enough.
Unfortunately I think the scum will win the double, I'd give my left bk to be wrong.

I dunno I think that Barca will be a amazing test for them and with the distractions of the league it will be interesting to see who he plays when and were. I am not as confident of beating chelski this time around especially as we play at home first.

You're right, the scum are used to failing in Europe, and Barca will be a big test for them.
Did you see last nights Barca v Schalke game??? Schalke ran them ragged for 90 minutes but don't have a finisher.
Utd will destroy them...it wouldn't surprise me if Utd won 2 or 3 nil over there - they were rubbish and are certainly not the Barca of 2 years ago even. Their defense is dire and with Puyol being yellow-carded they won't even have the one person who has half a defenders brain playing against Utd.
Sorry, but it could even be embarrassing for Barca if an up-for-it Utd turn up. Certainly Barca are far worse than Roma and Utd beat them 3-0 on aggregate and remember Roma beat Real Madrid home & away this season and Real are better than Barca this year.
No, sadly I think Chelski will beat Liverpool (3rd time lucky, law of averages etc) but lose to Utd in the Final.
To recap, I predict a Man Utd v Chelski final with Utd winning it...I'll be back for some posting with quotes on 22nd May
IMHO
PS No drum to beat as I'm a Sours fan.

Barcelona vs Chelsea final
I'll have what he's having.Would love Barca to beat United but I just can't see it. Formwise they are poles apart.
Liverpool Chelsea is a toss-up. Obviously I will go with Liverpool because we seem to be able to pull these results out against the odds - but I think its advantage Chelsea
Reckon a Liverpool Manu final is likely. Although don't know how Liverpool will react to being the favourites in the Chelsea tie given we've usually been the underdogs.
If we get to final then it's anybodies game. Tbh I think the form book will go out of the window and will depend on who wants it more.

Everyone thought that last year but the Mancs bottled it iirc.Milan were a team long past it and were thought to be unable to cope with Utds dynamism.
What happened ? Scraped a 3-2 win at OT and got hammered 3-0 away.
IMO Utd getting to the final this year is a long way from being a forgone conclusion.
Vidic & Rio are excellent but both are likely ot be carrying injuries.
Despite the club's problems, Messi, Henry, Eto'o, Xavi, Iniesta, etc are quite capable of putting in a performance, especially as its the only trophy they can win this year.
Not so long ago Utd went into a FA Cup Qtr final at home and got turned over, despite being 'in form'.

So, whats your point? Have you seen Barcelona's results in March and April 08? Here's a taster:Valencia - Drew
Athletico Madrid - Lost
Villarreal - Lost
Almeria - Drew
Valencia - Lost
Valladolid - Won
Real Betis - Lost
Getafe - Drew
All that in 5 weeks.
An in-form Utd should be more than capable of beating them easily both at home and away. The word in Spain (from some ex-pats) is that even Barcelona supporters don't think they'll beat Utd.
Again, did you see the Schalke match??? If that Barcelona turn-up against Utd it is going to be lambs to the slaughter I'm afraid...

All is not well at the Nou Camp...

I fancy United to prevail over the two legs.
Liverpool Chelsea - as said above I fancy us to do the chavs but I think it will be another war of attrition with little flair on offer.
One thing I do not want from this season is a beating in the European Cup final at the hands of the Mancs. Here's hoping that if we meet in Moscow Rafa finally gets it right.
