What a night.

Traffic problems (4 hours of hell) led to parking at Goodison and sprinting through Stanley Park 5 minutes before kick off. Got into the ground one minute before the start, WHAT an atmosphere, eclipsed anything I've ever known.

Until Arsenal started playing football. What a display, total respect to their performance, they were truly outstanding. Hats off to the fans aswell who were first class (apart from the bloke who walked down Anfield Road alone shouting "You're nothing, but a bunch of scouse s" to everyone - not sure how long he lasted).

By the end of the evening my head was totally gone, never experienced so much uncertainty, despair, relief, joy, heartbreak, then utter jubilation at a match in my life.

WE SHALL NOT, WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED!!!!!!!

Venger, give up doing post match interviews, you just come across as a moaning b1tch.

Wenger did not come out of the dressing room for ITV. smile

Anfield on most match days is something very special. On a Euro night it is an experience to remember on your deathbed.

He should've stayed there for Sky.

Simon, i know what you mean mate.

Anfield on a european night is a site to behold.
The atmosphere i experienced at the chelsea semi final game in 2005 eclipsed the final a couple of weeks later, although the emotions were even more marked.

simply incredible...i missed last night due to work, but i will be there for the next round!

Even as a Liverpool-leaning neutral watching the game, the noise when Babel stabbed home the fourth was deafening....

My best Anfield experience resulted in two Andrei Kanchelskis goals, one with his head !!
27th Sept 1999 was pretty good too

Max, I've got to say I'm incredibly jealous!

That game was amazing and for the last 15mins none of us watching it in the common room at my halls could sit down and we went mental when Liverpool got the result, can only imagine the atmosphere at Anfield!

Which stand were you in? The Kop must have been absolutely buzzing, really need to try and get some European tickets next year.

Upper Anfield Road mate, it was something else. It was so loud that the different stands got out of sync with each other's singing, you didn't realise until the song came to an end and the volume died down.

You know you've had a great night when you wake up the next morning with your shins covered in cuts and bruises from the seat in front!!

I for one am gutted that I will not be able to make the next round at Anfield.
Now that should be an atmosphere and a half.

I'm 90% sure of a ticket, sweating on it at the moment.

Except we all know both games will be tedious affairs decided by a single goal

Well after last nights result I am pretty sure Grant will want to do all he can to try and get a trophy.

He may go for this wild attack option he is asking his team to carry out here
