please shut up. I can't stand his constant drivel, he just keeps on and on and on.
Do Sky think that the viewers are all morons and need a constant barrage of idle chat to enhance the experience of watching a game of rugby?
I've even tried watching with the sound off but, of course you loose the crowd and the ref. which make it a bit flat.
I'll have a go at "pressing the red button" and see if there's on option to get rid of the commentator/pundit.
While I having a moan about Sky, is it written into the commentators contract that they must "big up" every game? I've watched some right stinkers only to be told after the game is over by some so called expert how good it was.
Don't knock the product I suppose. "If we tell the morons it was a good game they'll believe us and go away happy".

i think Will Greenwood is one of the best media pundits around. Always totally fair, say it as he see's it, talks a lot of sense, respected world class player and liked and respected the world over by all supporters

Agree, he knows what he's talking about and gets to the point pretty quickly and without too much bias! Also, without wishing to sound naff, he's a players player, quietly got on with the job when he was playing and respected by everyone.

Certainly doesnt spout as much drivel as some do!!

[quote=stimmers] Always totally fair, /quote]

Ha, ha, bloody, ha, listen to what he says, Engerland, Engerland, Engerland, Johnny, Johnny, Johnny. More biased you could not get.
Oh sorry, Johnny got the boot. How do you spell Cipriano?
Total n#b.

Yes, always totally fair .Im sorry, but you post is coming across as the inane ramblings of a bitter non Englishman to me. Why don't you bother to substantiate you tripe with examples and evidence, instead of simply being a prat and insulting someone who rugby supporters (non English too) have a huge amount of respect for ???

ps - It's Cipriani and Jonny

Edited to say, just looked at your profile and what a shocker, your from South Wales. Bitter Ospreys fan i take it and bitter because an English pundit heaped praise on an English team who totally outplayed the O's and quite rightly deserved their plaudits. Carry on being bitter and a poor loser

I like Will Greenwood and his obvious enthusiasm. Never afraid to speak his mind and unlike a lot of commentators/pundits, isn't afraid to criticise players.

He's also very knowledgeable and entertaining so he gets the thumbs up from me.

In fact I really enjoy the Sky coverage - I wish the Magners coverage on the BBC was as good.

I'd have Brian Moore and Greenwood over Barnes any day of the week - he's is starting to annoy me now, and seems to be on he side of the team thats winning

Couldn't agree more i can't stand him. He states the obvious all the time "England are going to have get there hands on the ball to win the game" aye u think so. I didn't like how he behaved after England beat Australia in the world cup he wouldn't leave it alone to the point that the next day during the call of the next game the other BBC commentator told him to shut up about it. Id much rather listen to Martin Johnsoon. Like a lot of sportsmen he needs to learn to be a gracious winner it’s just important as being a good winner

Absolutelty ridiculous. If your an Aussie, then maybe you should be more concerned with the crap that came out of Australian mouths before the WC game, the Likes of John O'Neill'S moaning about everything under the sun, since Aus have been crap, has been nothing short of embarrasing. His verbal tirade attacking Eng before the WC game was about as low as low gets. I don't even have to provide examples of that loud mouth Campese's tripe, or Eddie Jones's and yet here you are having a go at an English commentator, commentating on the BBC, being happy and celebrating Eng's WC victory over Australia. My god i knew you were hypocrites, but i never realised it was this bad. Did you hear John Eales and Horan's commentry for Aussie tv in the 2003 WC when they beat the All Blacks in the Semi???

Settle down no need to go the offensive just because im Australian the topic is about Greenwood who i don't like nor do i rate his commentating and as u can see from the above posts im not alone. Mind u i do agree John O'Neill was out of order, i didn't hear all of what he said as i was in Scotland all last year but i believe he said Australia hates England which is untrue and inappropriate. Also i agree with u about Campese sometimes he is actually embarrassing. Im not sure what Jones has done to offend but I’ve had a coaching session with him and he was brilliant talked a lot of sense particularly when he said being pushed into touch is the cardinal sin of rugby. I rate him as a coach as well. The issue i have with Greenwood is that i feel he went beyond celebrating and became rude particularly when he was talking about while calling the game the next day. I didn't hear John Eales or Tim Horan in 03 but i did hear Gordon Bray and the other chap on Australian TV and have no recollection of him being rude or unsporting

I like Greenwood commentating and dislike him for the same reason. His enthusiasm is really good for the game and the viewer, he tries to get you up for the game, to pass on his obvious passion and enjoyment. At the same time though he can come across a little silly and amateurish in his roll as pundit and commentator.

They were very excited, enthusiastic (same as Greenwood) about Australia winning a game no one thought they would (same as Eng vs Aus 2007) and were not scared to express their delight and compliment the Australian players who had performed so well (same as Greenwood).

Fair play to them and Greenwood, i enjoy passionate people like that and would much prefer to listen to commentary from someone who genuinely cares about the result, than someone who is apparently 'neutral'.

Well said, politics and sport don't mix.
