Good and Great players are consistent. Like Torres, who is a world class stiker and shows it everytime he plays

Yes, yes he is. He's Milan Baros with a blond wig. And Milan wasn't good enough either.

I was thinking of this last night, and found the ideal pic - seperated at birth?

As they used to say in The Netherlands 'Kuyt plays without 'y' tonight' (look in the Dutch dictionary, don't want to get binned) biggrin

Agree he is no PL striker. However, he is much better if playing as a winger or in the middle of the park - did well on both wings last night.

Perhaps he and Ryan Babel should change designation? Babel looks out of place left wing - he ALWAYS comes in onto his right, it's as predictable as bluenose bitterness! wink

Or as predictable as Liverpools optimism at the start of the season for a good Prem league followed by their total surrender.

Always good reason for optimism mate. Optimism is bred from expectation. Expectation is bred from glory. Glory is bred in the red half of Liverpool. Always has been, always will be.

Surrender? Hardly! Watch your back we're coming for you wink

A point that people who happen to be both blue and bitter miss entirely. As can be noted by the term 'red ste' being used in all Liverpool related threads. Sometimes I think I'm looking at Football 365 reading some of these sporting topics.

You'll like this - C&P from the Mirror:

"If Liverpool don't improve, a horrible fate awaits - next season their European matches could be screened on Channel Five.

Luckily in Rafa Benitez they have a manager who knows the best way to avoid the dreaded UEFA Cup if Liverpool look like finishing outside the top four in the Premier League is to win the Champions League.

Simple, isn't it? Or at least that's the way Rafa makes it look. Two European Cup finals in three seasons is a record Sir Purple Nose and Arsene Wonder would kill for yet it's Benitez whose future is in jeopardy.

Hills go just 16-1 that he's out of a job by midnight tonight and Paddy Power quote just 5-1 that the Champions League showdown with Inter at Anfield is his last as Rafa the gaffer. What these people don't realise is Benitez is shrewdly engineering the dream scenario for Anfield fans - allowing Everton to finish fourth in the Premier League and then nicking their Champions League spot by winning the trophy this season.

That's a 50-1 chance with Ladbrokes. Not only is that worth a bet, it also saves Everton the trouble of gearing up for a Champions League campaign guaranteed to be wrecked next season by their bogey team - Rapid Exit.

The No.1 rule in football betting is never to underestimate Benitez in Europe. You can get 11-8 about Liverpool progressing to the quarterfinal at Inter's expense - I suggest you do so. Worse Liverpool teams under Benitez have beaten better teams than Inter."

I still think you'll get 4th, we are still about 3 players short from being where i want the Blues to be. Don't tell anyone i said that.

From

The Original football team in Liverpool and the first team to call Anfield home. (was a bit crap so we left)

Quoting from the Mirror. Wow, i didn't think you'd get that desparate just yet. Thought you'd have a bit more banter.

Kuyt did okay but what concerns me more is the disease that modern strikers suffer from: their legs give way under the slightest challenge that is knowehere near their legs.

Torres went down from one and the Italian guy got sent off for what amounted to nothing. Torres should have been booked straight away - it was just an embarrassment.

This tie is not over - not by a long chalk.

Not desperate bluemate, just was sent to me and found it funny - also amazed that they dared to print that about Slur Alcy Fergiscum (who we can all agree to hate equally, can't we?) and the German sounding cheese eating surrender monkey wink

Don't read ANY of the rags personally - they all only have their own agenda at heart.

Keep up the banter bluemate, just try not to sound, well y'know, quite so bit....you know the rest wink

Hey, do you know we are 6 points clear in the league? The ressie league that is!!! Come on the second best team in Liverpool (after Liverpool FC, of course), Liverpool FC reserves tongue out

Just a word of warning mate, that did sound a bit ghey.

"Oh, yeah, nudge, nudge, what *curtains* are you referring to, wink, wink, say no more! Know what I mean, a nudge is as good as a wink to a blind man, SAY NO MORE!!!"

If you'll forgive the blatent Monty Python plagerism there wink
