I am looking to purchase a ticket (or two ideally) to the carling cup final if anyone has one or knows anyone selling them for a reasonable price.. I would prefer the Spurs end but would take a ticket for the Chelsea end as im desparate to go.

Thanks

I'd also like a pair in the Spurs end but fear we're gonna struggle!

Tell me about it, I really didnt think it would be this difficult getting tickets but as Spurs have not been regular cup finalst over the last couple of years I really wouldnt know. :-)

Couple of mates went to Derby to watch Spurs last weekend and even that game was sold out!

Lol, me too.
Does anyone have any idea how much you would pay from a tout?

The ticket agencies seem to be selling them for £500 upwards each which is a little ott for me.

500 seems a goodish price from touts, from what ive seen, for a single ticket. Spurs end tickets are not looking easy to come by. Ive got 2 tickets in the spurs end and been offered 1200 for the pair already. its very tempting!!

This may sound nit-picky, but bugger it

Do you support both teams? - or are you one of these people who wrangle tickets for big matches just to say that "I was there"?

God I hope you arn't one of the 'Social Fans' who turned up at the FA cup final last year wondering if Manchester Rovers were going to play Beckham.
The sight of a half empty middle section at Wembley 10mins into the 2nd half was appauling, yet indicative of the empty atmosphere created that day by the 'Social Fans' - who dont really support anybody but themselves.

What a bloody stupid comment. Very long and very stupid.
It is obvious to anyone else in the world that he is a Spurs fan who is desperate to go and see the game, so much so that he wold even stay in the Chelsea end.

You may be right there then. I assumed they would be the same either end. Just seen the game advertised at that price.

Great - my team is in the cup final, lets surround myself with 30,000 opposition fans as I sit in silence avoiding the oppertunity to cheer my team on due to the prospect of a swift kicking. Grand fun, unless as i say you dont overly support any of the teams - your just happy to be there.

Spot on Blindswelledrat I am a huge Spurs supporter and even willing to sit in the Chelsea end to be there to see this game.

I would already have a ticket and season ticket at WHL if it wasnt for work commitments every Sat, I do however get over there whenever possible.

You are correct my personal choice would to be sit amongst all the Chelsea fans in silence for 90 mins and watch the Spurs win rather than watching it at home in the confort of my armchair shouting my head off. Thats just the type of fan that I am.

You're both mad. If I had two tickets which I don't and someone offered me £1200 for them - they would be sold in a nanosecond. It's on the tele FFS!

I wouldn't be able to trust myself to stay quiet. Mixed support is fine for rugby but I wouldn't want to sit in with opposing fans at a footy game, too much risk!

Imagine the scenario is....for example, like 2001. (Liverpool v Arse, Arse one nil up with 15 to go having played us off the park.)

Along comes Mickey Owen and pops in 2 goals in about 10 minutes to snatch the cup away from the gooners. As a Liverpool fan, if I am in the Arsenal end there is NO WAY I would be able to keep quiet - this is football and your instinct is to just go up and scream your head off!

Reward = kicking from the surrounding Arsenal fans hehe

I think I'd prefer to watch the game in a pub tbh!

Imagine it's a REALLY tense match, 0-0 with 15 seconds to go, Chelsea have dominated and missed upteen sitters, hit the post bar etc, we've kicked a few goal bound efforts off the line and generally had our backs to the wall.

Then...

A quick punt upfield, Berba latches on and beats Alex to the ball before striking a right-footer into the top left corner...the crowd erupts...

But your in the Chelsea end...

How on earth would you:

a) Hold your self back from even the slightest recognition of the feat let alone show your jubilation?
b) Survive the inevitable kicking from the scrotes around you?

Nah...watch it on the telly if you can't get a ticket in the Spurs end, half the enjoyment of being there is in being able to curse, pass comment on crap passes etc...it won't be the same if your gagged.

I had this some 25 years ago in the North Bank at Highbury...we scored late on and all I did was clench my fists (low by my side) and say "yes" under my breath but it was spotted by someone behind me and I did the fastest talking I've ever done in my life together with trying to pass it off as a hatred reaction to spurs scoring...

IMHO

Isn't that exactly the same as the post above???????
I agree to an extent,it is certainly not as enjoyable, but I've done it before and i know ill do it again.
Some games you just want to be there.

Every game you go to there is at least one or two of the opposing fans in your area, often cheering when they score, and I am suprised at how seldom this ever kicks off (not that this knowledge would make me cheer loudly)
