Good to see the city fans observing the silence, but what the hell was that noise - some knob jockey letting off fireworks outside the ground?

Aha, that makes sense. Not sure everyone knew about it - some of the players appeared to be looking around as if thinking 'WTF?' hehe

Not observed properly by all sadly, too much for Wayne Rooney to take his hat off and stop chewing for a minute.

Unfortunately they weren't gunshots. More like idiots outside the ground with fireworks or bangers.

They'd be stupid not to, Man City lost a goalie in the same crash...

The bangs were city fans trying to get rid of their balloons...

Perhaps...

Why have a gunshot to remember people who died in a plane crash? Seems odd.

As a point of order - there were 23 fatalities, 8 Man Utd players, 3 Man Utd staff plus 12 others (mostly press).

Disagree - ever since the crash all rival clubs fans have been known for taking the piss out of man utd fans by doing aeroplane impressions to the tune of dambusters.

What I do find hypocritical is that Man Utd treated the surviving busby babes who couldn't play football again really badly by kicking them out of their accommodation etc.

Its a shame thats forgotton by all those concerned !!

Too much "ManU the club" for me to be involved. They treated the injured badly and have ridden on those deaths for too long.
